Environmental sensitivity assessment of Paraná coast for oil spill
Data de publicação: 19/12/2008
The Paraná State has more than 80% of its coast classified with the highest level of environmental sensibility (mangrove and salt marsh). The intense harbor activities and a history of accidents coexist with one of the most important remnant of the Atlantic Forest, eighteen conservation areas and about seventy traditional communities. This demands integrated actions in order to reduce the risks of oil contamination, including an intense monitoring and an effective contingency plan.
