This study evaluated the environmental integrity of the segments of the rivers in Ipameri, Goiás, Brazil. For this, it was used a Rivers Rapid Assessment Protocols adapted from the protocol to be used in rocky meadows of Minas Gerais State highlands. The results point to a worrying situation, given the large number of sites classified in "regular" and “poor”, observing that human activities are contributing to environmental degradation of rivers of the studied area. Thus, it is necessary that the municipal and state agencies/organs related to environment and water resources promote the adoption of measures that will halt the degradation processes observed, in order the preservation and sustainable use of natural resources.
