Abstract. Researches done in the last decades have reported greater concern with female participation in science and technology, leading to understand the importance of the activities which encourage girls to join in this area, and thereby the project Meninas Digitais no Cerrado have performed extension actions since the year 2016 addressing the empowerment and women's achievements. The outcomes have been satisfactory because it has achieved a high rate of women participants of the events and being these various levels of training and academic courses, contributing therefore to the permanence in the areas of technology.
