ABSTRACT
Depression is a psychological disorder that affects millions of people
in theworld, regardless of their age, social class or nationality. In the
literature, different techniques have been studying to analyze and
recognize this disease such as Natural Language Processing, Sentiment
Analysis, and Machine Learning. In this paper, we describe a
systematic mapping to identify evidence regarding techniques that
are often used to identify depressive profiles.We analyzed 472 studies
and we selected 25 primary studies. These studies indicate that
the SVM and NB techniques have been most used to detect possible
depressive profiles in social networks. Furthermore, Twitter and
Facebook with 35,5% and 22,6%, respectively were the social media
most have been used by users’ express their feelings regarding the
most varied subjects.
