ABSTRACT
Currently, tour guides can be implemented through mobile technologies
such as smartphones and wearable devices. The penetration
of these technologies into people’s daily lives has made it possible
to implement more sophisticated and personalized services, revolutionizing
the tourism industry. However, the process of developing
such applications is complex and involves the knowledge of various
experts, such as programmers and designers. So this article devised
an authoring tool titled inTourMobile, which allows non-expert
people to develop their mobile tour guides easily and intuitively.
The usability of the designed tool was evaluated, in which it was
observed its efficiency to assist in the development of mobile tour
guides.
