Gender diversity is crucial for reducing biases in the development
of products and solutions. In this sense, the inclusion of women in
technological areas is essential for creating technologies that
represent more variety perspectives. Thsi article presents the
achievements ofa project of female empowerment in computing
during five years, as well as the importance of the actions carried
out uo promote a greater gender diversity in IT - Information
Technology. The results consolidate the project corroborate the
awakening of collective feeling of belonging, as well as the
permanence and success in technical and higher education levels,
similar to other initiaves developed nationally and
internationally
