ABSTRACT
Online sexual violence against children and teens is a problem that
demands organized collective efforts to strengthen a protection
network between different institutions. This paper describes the development
and quality evaluation process of a website for a national
Observatory to combat online sexual violence against children and
teens, which gathers studies and knowledge about this violence and
organizes protection actions. The developing process went through
stages of Requirements Analysis, Prototyping, Coding, Testing and
Evaluation. The main contribution of this paper is the proposal and
development of an unprecedented website for an observatory with
the evaluation of its quality, including the application of techniques
such as Inspection, Testing and Card Sorting. Moreover, we present
the lessons learned for constructing other Observatories that fight
relevant social problems. This project had the participation of national
and international agencies, including a federal university, a
federal government ministry, an ONU programme and a research
support foundation.
