ABSTRACT
Encouraging women in STEM has been promoted by several
initiatives. This work aimed to present an initiative carried out by
Meninas Digitais Project – UFSC. In this case, two electrical circuit
workshops were held with girls from Elementary School II at a
Municipal School in Araranguá - SC, during the second half of
2023. This initiative aims to instigate girls' interest in STEM areas
and present a replicable solution for other groups. The experiences
and results obtained through the activities carried out are presented
in this work. At the end of the experiment, through data collection,
it was possible to confirm that hands-on workshops help to engage
girls in the area.
