ABSTRACT
This study aimed to assess whether unplugged Computational
Thinking activities would have a positive impact on student
performance in Introduction to Programming Logic. A sequence
of six classes of unplugged computing activities was developed,
preceded by a pre-test and followed by a post-test. Evidence has
shown a need for further studies on the topic and that the number
of activities developed were insufficient to directly impact the
performance of students. It is possible to conclude that there is a
need for a systematic work on Computational Thinking
throughout all the years of basic education.
