ABSTRACT
This work is being developed within the scope of Manna_Team. Computational Thinking (CT) has become an increasingly important skill in education, particularly in Elementary Education, due to the growing digitalization of society. This systematic mapping provides an overview of research on computer science education and the development of CT at the elementary school level, focusing on methodologies, technological tools, application contexts, and results obtained between 2012 and 2024. The review covers 49 articles and highlights current trends such as the use of visual programming platforms, educational robotics, unplugged teaching, and gamification. The study also emphasizes the challenges and opportunities for integrating CT into school curricula, analyzes the pedagogical practices adopted, and proposes directions for future research and improvements in teacher training.
