ABSTRACT
This article presents an experience report on the activities conducted by a project aimed at deconstructing stereotypes and empowering girls and women in the field of computing. The initiatives were carried out within a study group composed of women from computing courses, leveraging maker culture and mentorships as primary tools. Using Design Thinking (DT), the project developed solutions tailored to the specific needs of the students. The study highlights the importance of empowering women in the technology field by providing a safe space for experience sharing and the strengthening of support networks. The DT methodology enabled an empathetic and contextualized approach, offering a structured set of steps that can be replicated by other projects and educational institutions seeking to address similar challenges, thus making a significant contribution to the field.
