ABSTRACT
Access to information is one of the main topics covered in
education, and the idea of introducing community
participation in the creation, development and propagation
of knowledge has increased mainly with the movement in
defense of open access and free information. In this
context, UNESCO also began to establish educational
dissemination strategies, such as Open Educational
Resources (REA). These materials encourage teaching and
research in the public domain, in addition to encouraging
the use, production and adaptation by third parties and also
providing the possibility of collaboration between
institutions. The Arcaz repository, developed by the
PET-CoCE group, is based on the group's research into the
growing importance of disseminating knowledge and
information in Open Access format. This article presents a
heuristic evaluation developed in Arcaz based on
Interaction Design Principles. This evaluation, with the
participation of experts, resulted in the redesign of the
repository. The next steps must involve community
participation for the participatory construction of new
features.
