ABSTRACT
This work presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) for contactless
vital signs monitoring based on the Internet of Medical
Things (IoMT). This SLR aims to search for relevant studies that
use Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radars to
estimate the breath and heart rate of a target while having Internet
of Things (IoT) connectability. We utilized the PICO methodology
to retrieve 34 articles, and through inclusion and exclusion criterias,
we filtered this result to 5 articles. From these articles, the two
main points observed are the continuous growth of studies that use
contactless methods for vital signs monitoring in recent years and
the surprising lack of devices with IoT or IoMT compatibility, in
which several articles only cite the technology but don’t elaborate
concrete steps for its implementation. This made us realize the
opportunity for future works and research to create and implement
IoMT technologies with contactless vital signs monitoring.
