ABSTRACT
The present study developed a dashboard to analyze the patterns of
the spatial and temporal distribution of catches and lengths of
marine species, with a particular focus on the blue shark (Prionace
glauca), in the southwestern Atlantic Ocean, a region considered
critical for the species due to the presence of parturition areas and
juvenile nursery grounds. The data were collected from commercial
pelagic longline fisheries between 2017 and 2024, through onboard
monitoring and landing records. Additionally, biometric data for
blue sharks were obtained during field expeditions conducted by
UNIVALI/LEMA professionals or provided by companies during
their site visits. The results of this study are presented in real time
through a dashboard, offering an interactive platform to explore and
visualize dynamic graphs of blue shark.
