This paper presents Conectar, a mobile application designed to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), adaptive learning resources, and AI-based assistive tools. Integrating principles from Psychology, Design, and Technology, the system aims to personalize communication, structure daily routines, and support cognitive and socio-emotional development. Developed in Kotlin using the Model–View–ViewModel (MVVM) architecture, with Room, Firebase, and TensorFlow Lite, the application was guided by Exploratory Research and the Incremental Development Model. Conectar includes predefined and customizable communication categories, a routine and alarm management system, four educational games, an AI-powered drawing module for letter and number recognition, and a music player for sensory regulation. The proposed solution highlights the potential of mobile assistive technologies to enhance autonomy, communication, and learning experiences for neurodivergent children.
