In contemporary digital education, schools face increasing challenges in providing accessible technological learning environments that foster creativity and computational thinking. This paper presents BEMO, an open-source, modular, and low-cost educational robot designed to support robotics and STEAM education in basic education contexts. The proposed platform integrates 3D printing, Arduino-based hardware, and plug-and-play assembly to reduce technical barriers for beginners. Block-based programming enables accessible entry into programming while supporting progression to textual coding. Technical evaluations demonstrated stable operation and adequate energy autonomy, while a preliminary educational assessment with students indicated high acceptance, ease of use, and improved understanding of computational and electromechanical concepts. The findings suggest that BEMO constitutes a viable and replicable alternative for democratizing access to educational robotics, particularly in public-school environments.
