The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2) aims to eradicate hunger and ensure universal access to safe, culturally appropriate, healthy and sufficient food by 2030, especially for vulnerable populations such as the poor, children and the elderly. In this context, the Sacolão da Família Program is an initiative of the Municipality of Curitiba aimed at offering foods such as fruits, vegetables, and greens at a maximum price of R$ 3.99 per kilogram. Currently, there are 12 units distributed across the city’s 75 neighborhoods, with the most recent one inaugurated in 2024. This work on progress aims to create an index for the selection of strategic locations intended for the implementation of new points of the Sacolão da Família program in the city of Curitiba, considering factors such as population density, concentration of low-income people, and the presence of similar establishments within the same geographic radius.
