The advancement of video technologies has made adaptive streaming essential; however, many public educational institutions lack centralized platforms to record and broadcast their events and sports competitions. To address this gap, this paper presents the development of JIFTv, an adaptive streaming system designed for live broadcasts with automatic quality adjustment based on the viewer’s connection speed. The platform’s architecture integrates OBS Studio for capture, Nginx with the RTMP module for ingestion, FFmpeg for multi-quality transcoding, and distribution via HLS and DASH protocols, operating within a Docker environment. The results demonstrate the technical feasibility of a functional, stable, and scalable prototype, accessible directly via a web browser on various devices. The project also served as a practical environment for students to explore concepts of computer networks and audiovisual production, promoting student autonomy.
