Crypto assets are among the most prominent technologies in recent years, having properties such as decentralization, which reduces the need for intermediaries, and encryption, which ensures security, integrity and anonymity to the parties involved. These properties encourage the adoption of the technology, but they also make it very attractive to scams and illicit activities. When a person becomes a victim of a crime in Brazil, they should go to a Civil Police Station in order to file a Police Report. In Rio Grande do Sul, to officialize the registration of a Police Report, the Civil Police utilizes a software named SPJ (Sistema da Polícia Judiciária), which requires the writing of a narrative (textual summary) and a statement of information (more comprehensive and detailed text). In the writing of both texts with SPJ, we found problems such as the lack of a standard defining what essential information must be included and the technical complexity of the topic of crypto assets. Both problems can result in rework of the police force and delays in case processing. This paper presents the process of improving the framework HiBO.js by creating a new module for filing Police Reports involving crypto assets. The methodological procedures included meetings with the Police Information Technology Department of the Civil Police, the design of interface prototypes, and finally, the implementation of the new module in HiBO.js using components and algorithms provided by the framework. As its main contribution, this work developed a tool to support the police force, enabling more complete and standardized records in cases involving the crypto assets technologies.
