The issue of missing people is a persistent problem in Brazil and has a significant impact on Rio Grande do Sul, which recorded more than eight thousand cases in 2024 alone. Many of the missing individuals are children and teenagers, as well as adults in vulnerable situations, showing the need for more efficient investigative processes. However, the lack of standardization in police reports, especially in the narrative sections, which are important for documentation, often results in incomplete records. This makes searches more difficult and creates extra work for the Civil Police. In this context, this project presents the development of a new module for the HiBO.js framework, created in a partnership between IFRS – Campus Feliz and the Police Information Technology Department, specifically for reporting cases of missing minors. The module collects information through a structured form that gathers essential details for investigations in Rio Grande do Sul and automatically generates standardized texts that follow the institution’s guidelines. This helps reduce errors in reports, speeds up the service, avoids the need for the reporting person to return to the police station, and contributes to faster and more complete investigations. Currently in its final testing phase, the system represents an important improvement in the quality of missing-person reports and supports public safety efforts in the state.
