This report presents the ongoing development and first-year experience of the Code Queens – Aprendendo a Programar para o Futuro project, implemented at the Universidade do Vale do Itajaí - UNIVALI. Aligned with the national Meninas Digitais initiative, the project aims to promote gender inclusion in the computing field by offering public-school elementary students with opportunities to engage with programming and technology-focused learning. During its first year, the project supported 20 students, guided by undergraduate instructors from Universidade do Vale do Itajaí - UNIVALI Computer Science program, through a curriculum covering web development, databases, requirements engineering, and digital citizenship. Preliminary outcomes include the development of web prototypes and increased confidence and interest in computing careers among participants. As ongoing work, this report outlines the project’s methodology and discusses its initial impacts on strengthening female participation in technology.
