The work presents the development of EcoLox, a system as a Service (SaaS) designed to support researchers in the collection and analysis of environmental microfactors associated with the presence of spiders of the genus Loxosceles, responsible for thousands of annual accidents in Brazil. The system aims to optimize the process of data collection and analysis related to these spiders by using modern technologies to provide a practical, secure, and efficient tool. The development involved the use of React for the user interface, Firebase for authentication and cloud storage, and a NoSQL database to ensure flexibility in data management. The system allows the recording of various environmental data—such as temperature, humidity, light, and vegetation—as well as geographic and temporal data. It is also desirable to analyze the data through artificial intelligence to identify patterns that influence the presence of the spiders. The system is expected to reduce researchers’ manual workload, increase the accuracy of collected data, and provide new insights into the habitats of these arachnids, with the potential for adaptation to broader biodiversity and environmental monitoring studies.
