Techniques for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) have been the subject of intense research  recently. This trend can be attributed to the high costs of maintenance and repair of large infrastructures, besides the loss of invaluable lives in catastrophic accidents, which SHM try to predict and avoid. With this motivation, this work presents an embedded system under development   that   enables   structural   health   monitoring   and   discusses important aspects such as the signals conditioning and the transmission of data captured by strain gages, accelerometers and temperature sensors.
