This paper describes the LECO Project, an open-source software that is a simulator that aims to improve the learning of contents that demand abstraction from the students. Divided in levels, LECO offers flexibility on its use in different knowledge levels. Its creation is influenced by the level of difficult to understand contents that involve computer organization, observed on graduation courses.
