This paper presents a research that will become apparent, for general and academic community, the profile of Information Technology (IT) professionals and IT companies existing in the city of Frederico Westphalen - RS, allowing the formation of a general knowledge base to promote projects and programs aimed at the inclusion of new people in this context as better targeting the university for this purpose as well as creating effective programs to attract and retain talent in local companies
