Brief History
The Integratio Journal was created as another initiative of the Paideia Research and Extension Group, affiliated with the School of Legal and Social Sciences at the University of Vale do Itajaí – UNIVALI. Established over twenty years ago, the Paideia Group has consolidated itself as a space for humanistic, critical, and interdisciplinary training, aimed at the active involvement of students in teaching, research, and outreach activities.
Throughout these two decades, the group has developed a track record marked by research projects, study groups, cultural workshops, and academic events. Among these, the International Scientific Initiation Seminar stands out, which has reached its fifth edition, bringing together students, professors, and researchers committed to fostering scientific production from the undergraduate stage.
It was from this experience and the collective journey built over the years that the desire arose to create a permanent, accessible, and high-quality editorial space: the Integratio Journal. The journal thus represents a natural extension of the work Paideia has already been carrying out: encouraging students to engage in research, promoting their intellectual autonomy, and valuing scientific initiation as a fundamental stage in university education.
Integratio Journal (RI) is an open-access scientific publication, linked to the School of Legal and Social Sciences (ECJS) at the University of Vale do Itajaí – UNIVALI. Published semiannually, the journal’s mission is to foster scientific initiation at the undergraduate level through the dissemination of research supervised by professors holding master’s or doctoral degrees.
With an interdisciplinary character and open to all fields of knowledge, the journal values thematic and methodological plurality, provided it is supported by academic rigor and scientific ethics. Publication is free of charge, with no submission, review, or publication fees, thus promoting free access and the democratization of science.
Focus and Scope
Integratio is primarily dedicated to publishing original articles authored by undergraduate students, supervised by professors from UNIVALI and other institutions, fostering student leadership in scientific research. The journal’s scope includes both theoretical and empirical research that contributes to relevant and up-to-date discussions on diverse societal issues.

To this end, it promotes the sharing of data, supplementary materials, and methodologies.
