    Ensino de Lógica de Programação para Alunos do Ensino Fundamental: Um Relato de Experiência Extensionista

    The expansion of the workload dedicated to university extension was driven by the latest National Education Plan (PNE), leading to curriculum revisions and the creation of institutional strategies. At the Federal University of Pampa (UNIPAMPA), all undergraduate students must complete between 60 and 120 hours in the institutional university extension program UNIPAMPA Cidadã. This article presents an account of an extension experience within the context of this program, which involved offering an introductory Programming Logic course to elementary students from the Fernando Ferrari Municipal Basic Education School, in Alegrete/RS. The activity aimed to develop logical reasoning and computational thinking through practical and contextualized activities, bringing computing closer to students’ daily experiences. The course, lasting 60 hours, served 40 students from the 5th to the 7th grades and stood out for its high female participation. The methodology combined expository and collaborative moments, organized into two modules: introduction to programming logic and data and expressions. The results indicate cognitive and social progress, as well as the strengthening of the connection between the university and the school community, highlighting the transformative potential of university extension in civic and technological education.
