Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. Scope and Accepted Languages

a. Submissions from all fields of knowledge are accepted.
b. Interdisciplinary works are especially encouraged.
c. Articles may be written in Portuguese, Spanish, English, or Italian.

2. Submission Conditions

a. The article must be unpublished and not under review by another journal.
b. Each author (individually or in co-authorship) may submit only one article per issue.

3. Authorship Composition

a. Maximum of three authors per article.
b. At least one author must be an enrolled undergraduate student.
c. At least one author must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree and be responsible for methodological guidance.

4. General Article Formatting

a. Length: between 15 and 25 pages.
b. Font: Arial, size 12.
c. Line spacing: 1.5.
d. Margins: left and top 3 cm; right and bottom 2 cm.
e. Paragraph: 1.5 cm indentation.
f. Paper: A4 format.
g. Word processor: Word for Windows 6.0 or later.
h. Alignment: justified.
i. Citations: author-date system (do not use footnote explanations or expressions such as idem, ibidem, or op. cit.).

5. Mandatory Article Structure

a. Title.
b. Author(s) name(s), with full qualification in a footnote.
c. Abstract in Portuguese (100 to 250 words).
d. Keywords (3 to 5 terms, separated by a period).
e. Abstract (English version of the Portuguese abstract).
f. Keywords (English version of the keywords).
g. Introduction.
h. Development (including theoretical references, methodology, results, and discussion).
i. Conclusion.
j. References (in compliance with ABNT standards; alphabetical order; book titles in bold).

6. Review and Editing

a. The peer review process is double-blind.
b. In the event of divergent evaluations, a third reviewer will be assigned.
c. With the authors’ consent, the editorial team may make grammatical and stylistic adjustments without altering the article’s content.

7. Originality, Ethics, and Scientific Integrity

a. All articles will be checked for plagiarism and self-plagiarism.
b. The use of artificial intelligence must be limited to language revision.
c. The use of AI must be explicitly declared at the end of the manuscript.
d. The responsibility for the work’s content, originality, and ethics lies entirely with the authors.
