This study analyzes how the variables of burnout syndrome are configured in nursing technicians at a private hospital in Belo Horizonte, in the state of Minas Geras. The theoretical approach was anchored in aspects related to the influence of work on human life, and its consequences for the individual, such as stress and burnout syndrome. Methodologically, the research was descriptive, with a qualitative approach, through interviews with ten nursing technicians at a private hospital. The results showed the emotional exhaustion faced by these professionals, as well as a feeling of wanting to abandon the profession. The family was used as a strategy in the fight against suffering, and depersonalization, one of the variables that characterizes the syndrome, was low among the professionals studied.
