This study examines the level of implementation of practices of knowledge management (KM) of organizational processes in public educational institutions, considering their possible implications for the level of school management. This is a descriptive and exploratory study of a quantitative nature. In regard to the technical procedure, the research method used was a survey. The sample of research participants consisted of fifty-two educational managers. For the analysis of data reliability, statistics were used to calculate Cronbach's alpha coefficient and for the quantitative analysis, descriptive statistics were used. Based on the diagnosis, it was found that the majority of the practices of KM of organizational processes are not being used to their full potential. The low level of awareness of KM practices can result in less efficient management of institutions, and limitations in the development of the human capital of teachers, students, employees of the institution and the school community. Therefore, there is a need for measures to expand the levels of implementation of KM in the school context.
