LOCAL PRODUCTION ARRANGEMENTS AND SUSTAINABILITY: PUBLIC POLICIES FOR THE PROMOTION OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL INCLUSION

    Published date: 04/09/2008
The emergence of the Knowledge Society points to the importance of learning processes and productive training. Based on secondary data from eight case studies, a differentiated classification of Local Production Arrangements is proposed, following the concepts of level of territorialization and informational mix, as expressed by the primary and secondary information networks. Due to the role of information and knowledge in LPAs, it is hoped that this study will contribute to the improvement and better formulation of public policies for the promotion of regional development and social inclusion.
