    EXPLORANDO A MATRIZ SOCIAL DE UM SISTEMA DE MARKETING: O CASO SERRA PELADA / EXPLORING THE SOCIAL NETWORK OF A MARKETING SYSTEM: THE CASE OF SERRA PELADA

    No presente caso para ensino, a obra cinematográfica “Serra Pelada” (QUINTELLA; DHALIA; MOURA, 2013) é utilizada como caso para discussão a respeito do conceito de sistema de marketing, conforme proposto por Layton (2007 e 2009). O uso de filmes populares é uma técnica de estudo de caso bastante atraente para professores e alunos, uma vez que pode oferecer visualizações apuradas de conceitos abstratos e estimula a reflexão e a discussão desses conceitos de forma mais clara, como sugere Saldaña (2008). A abordagem de Layton (2007 e 2009) oferece o suporte teórico para a discussão acerca dos sistemas de marketing a partir da identificação dos seus componentes sociais. Essa perspectiva possibilita a expansão da compreensão desse sistema e aproxima o ensino de marketing aos mercados, como proposto por Araujo, Finch e Kjellberg (2010), e ao macromarketing, como sugerido por Bartels e Jenkins (1977). Abstract In this teaching case, the cinematographic work entitled "Serra Pelada" (QUINTELLA, DHALIA; MOURA, 2013) is used as a case for discussion on the concept of marketing system, as proposed by Layton (2007 and 2009). The use of popular films is a case study technique that is quite appealing to teachers and students, as they can provide accurate visualizations of abstract concepts and stimulate reflection and discussion of these concepts more clearly, as suggested by Saldaña (2008). Layton’s (2007 and 2009) approach provides the theoretical basis for discussion of marketing systems based on the identification of its social components. This approach enables a wider understanding of this system, and brings marketing education closer to the markets, as proposed by Araujo, Kjellberg and Finch (2010), and to macromarketing, as suggested by Bartels and Jenkins (1977).
