This article analyzes publications on food and nutrition disseminated on the Instagram profile of the newspaper O Globo, from June to September 2025, with the aim of investigating the presence of discursive strategies associated with so-called food terrorism. The research stems from the relevance of health journalism in mediating qualified and responsible information, especially in a digital environment marked by the accelerated circulation of content and the potential amplification of misinformation. The study adopts Content Analysis applied to a set of publications categorized based on 11 analytical axes, including images, headlines, captions, adjectives, discursive grammar, repetition of words, use of alerts, questions, and clickbait strategies. The analysis sought to identify whether the content contributed to the construction of distorted, alarmist, or exaggerated discourses on food and nutritional topics. The results indicate that, although some publications are informative and aligned with the principles of health journalism, there is a recurrence of discursive strategies that reinforce exaggerations, fears, and simplistic interpretations about food and nutrition. Such practices tend to amplify misconceptions among the public and reinforce narratives associated with food terrorism.
