Focus and Scope
Revista Alcance is a Brazilian free access journal, published every four months, linked to the Graduate Program in Administration and the Professional Master’s degree in Administration, Internationalization and Logistics Program of the University of Vale do Itajaí – Univali. We seek to publish theoretical-empirical and technological articles in the areas of Business Administration. Different theoretical and methodological perspectives are welcome, as long as they are consistent with and relevant to the development of the area.
Mission
The mission of Revista Alcance is to contribute to the development of research in the area of Business Administration through the dissemination of theoretical-empirical and technological works.
Target Audience
The target audience of our journal is made up of professors, graduate students and researchers, as well as consultants, entrepreneurs and professionals of private and public companies from the area of Business Administration and related areas.
Peer Review Process
THE PEER REVIEW PROCESS
The review process occurs as follows:
1) Desk review:
a) of the format, performed by the editorial assistant
b) of the content, performed by the assistant editor.
2) Blind review stage:
involves an evaluation of the article by two experts on the topic, in the form of a blind review.
3) If there are divergences in their evaluations, a third reviewer, who is an expert in the research topic, will be invited to resolve the differences of analysis.
4) In the event of an analysis by a third reviewer, the editors will be responsible for the final definition of the publication.
EVALUATION GUIDELINES
The evaluation guidelines consist of the following steps:
- Originality of the work, in terms of the contribution to knowledge offered by the article
- The objective of the manuscript must be clear and well-defined.
- Relevance and theoretical consistency of the text reflects the latest knowledge in the area.
- Quality of writing and organization of the text
- Contribution of the work to area knowledge
- Methodology used: appropriateness, quality, level of sophistication
- Quality of theoretical-empirical analysis, discussion of limitations and robustness of findings
- Conclusions and implications for theory, management practice and social contribution
After filling out the evaluation form, the evaluator will have to choose a final recommendation:
- Accept (article is approved, but with suggestions for improvements)
- Mandatory corrections (the article has potential for approval if the mandatory suggestions are implemented)
- Submit again for evaluation (the article has potential but has many problems and needs to be reviewed and submitted for a new round of review by the same reviewers as in the first round).
- Reject (the article cannot be published)
The reviewer can attach a document for the authors, but the reviewer must not be identified in the file (check ownership of the file).
Publication Frequency
This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principal that making scientific knowledge available to the public at no cost provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.
Open Access Policy
This journal offers immediate open access to its content, following the principle that providing scientific knowledge to the public free of charge leads to greater democratization of world knowledge.

- TEACHING CASES
