    TOURIST GUIDANCE SIGNS: DISCUSSION, NORMS, PROPOSITIONS AND DISPOSITION: THE CURRAIS NOVOS CASE

    This article is to discuss an aspect of tourism that has a limited number of studies regarding the implementation and importance of tourist guidance signage. For this, the research discusses the importance of the tourist guidance signs, its rules and propositions listed in the Brazilian Tourist Guide Signs. The research has theoretical and empirical with methodological approach that consists of literature, survey of existing signs indicating with use of geotechnology and application of semistructured form with specific groups of tourists and visitors in the corrals municipality New / RN. From the analysis of the subjects interviewed and signaling disposal in urban areas of the municipality assesses the applicability of the basic principles of the Brazilian Guide Tourist signs and appears to need to increase the number of tourist signage boards as an important factor not only displacement, but also as a driving element for the retention and use of attractions and tourist facilities in the region.
