Las Unidades de Conservación (UC), en particular los Parques Naturales, se han convertido en el escenario preferido para la práctica del ecoturismo en Brasil, habiendo recibido, solo en 2019, un flujo de más de 15 millones de visitantes (Icmbio, 2020). Por ello, este tipo de turismo, que en su definición busca promover la conservación de los recursos naturales, necesita ser planificado con miras a minimizar los posibles impactos que pueda ocasionar. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo evaluar los impactos causados por la visita en el sendero de una de las atracciones más conocidas de la Chapada Diamantina, la Cascada del Buracão, ubicada en el Parque Natural Municipal do Espalhado, en el municipio de Ibicoara - Bahia. Para ello se aplicó una adaptación de la Ruta Metodológica para el Manejo de los Impactos de la Visitación del ICMBIO. Como resultado, se identificó que el daño a la vegetación es el principal impacto, debido a la falta de planificación del recorrido del sendero, y se han sugerido medidas correctivas que ayuden a subsanarlas.
