In this essay, I intend to analyze discourses on the notion of the code of life as the basis for an episteme that sees the body as information to be deciphered, improved, and governed. The essay is based on a brief historical review of knowledge about DNA and genetics, new public policies involving genomic projects, and articles in the field of economics and genetics. Within this perspective, the management of human genomic information involves investment opportunities, producing new forms of promotion for Human Capital.
