THE PRACTICE OF THE COORDINATOR-TEACHER FACED WITH CONFLICTS IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOL

This work presents the conclusions of a study which culminated in a dissertation for the Master’s Degree in Education, defended in 2006. It focuses on the practice of a female coordinator-teacher’s performance when dealing with conflicts in the day-today life of a public school on the outskirts of São Paulo. The situations analyzed reveal the importance of investing in teacher education and guaranteeing their autonomy to resolve conflicts in their teaching practice.
