• Abstract

Quality of services in event tourism: a scientific mapping through the Web of Science and Scopus

    Published date: 08/01/2024

Event tourism is promising, showing remarkable growth and recognition over the years. Knowing
that the quality of tourist services at events tends to represent the criteria for choosing a tourist destination,
it becomes increasingly important to measure the quality of this sector. The main goal of this study is to map the scientific production about the quality of tourist services at events. The research was carried out through bibliometric analysis, measuring and studying the indexes of scientific productions on a specific theme. The Web of Science and Scopus refined with articles, English language, subject area and the last ten years. Data analysis was the support of the Bibliometrix software. Scientific productions on the quality of tourist services at events are more representative of the year 2019. China is in a prominent position, being among the most productive countries. Between 2019 and 2021, there was the highest number of publications in the area, showing an average growth of 3.5 times in the last three years. It concluded that the measurement of quality in the event tourism sector contributes to the increase in loyalty, competitiveness and profitability of enterprises that operate in this segment.
