    Published date: 11/12/2025

The increasing demand for physiotherapy services can be attributed to the social and epidemiological changes of the Brazilian population. This context, or rational use of digital marketing is essential for professionals in the area. This study aims to analyze research trends related to physiotherapy in Google Trends (GT) of the Brazilian population in the last 5 years. This is an ecological study, carried out by the GT platform. The term “physiotherapy” was used in the period from 2020 to 2024. The interest of the Brazilian population on the matter was measured based on the relative research volume (RPV). According to the GT, the VPR of the “physiotherapy” term is on average 79, varying from 64 (2020) to 79 (2024) points, demonstrating an expressive interest in the topic over two years. Interestingly, there has been an increase in VPR from 64 in 2020 to 87 in 2021, possibly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After more years of research, the results will remain high and with little variability. Finally, the most frequent issues related to the term “physiotherapy” are "respiratory physiotherapy" and "physical exercise". Professional training is recommended in these fields, considering the job market.
