This article aims to analyze the initial and continuing training of teachers of Nature Sciences in schools that offer the final years of Elementary Education, in the state public network of the municipality of Vilhena, state of Rondônia. The qualitative research is in teaching of Natural Sciences, having as theoretical contributions, mainly, the evidentiary paradigm and the continuing education of Natural Sciences teachers. In the study, eight (08) Pedagogical Political Projects (PPPs) were followed, four (4) from 2019 and four (04) from 2020; and the transcripts of the interviews carried out with eleven (11) teachers who participate in the Natural Sciences discipline. The results showed that the profile of the Natural Sciences teachers who took part in the research, for the most part, are professionals trained in Biological Sciences, who did not receive specific continuing education, but recognize its importance.
