What do you see? What do you think? And what do you do? Contributions of contemporary art to aesthetic education.

    Published date: 08/08/2024

This research aims to reflect on how contemporary art contributes to aesthetic education.
From Rancière’s (2015) emancipation proposal, experiences with works by the artists Lucia Koch,
Propaganda, Eli Heil, Brincando de rodas e rodinhas [Playing with wheels and little wheels], and Beatriz Milhazes, Moon, were mapped out. The short story Os edifícios também sonham [Buildings also
dream], by Vinícius Batista, was used as a thread that weaves the connection between the artistic
productions. As a result, it is point out that art provokes the subject to play and make an experience,
playing a fundamental role in aesthetic education by reverberating in the intellectual autonomy of
    knowledge.
