The inclusion of people with disabilities (PwD) is a key aspect of education, aiming to
embrace and uphold human diversity. This study analyzes how the discourse of the inclusion is portrayed
in the Turma da Mônica comic strips, while maintaining the entertainment discourse that lies
at the heart of the series. To achieve this, the research draws on Pecheutian Discourse Analysis (DA),
employing concepts such as discursive formations (DF) to examine the subject-form of inclusion
within selected excerpts and strips, referred to as discursive sequences. The findings suggest that
Turma da Mônica comics address inclusion effectively, striking a balance between raising awareness
and providing entertainment. Through the comics, the theme of inclusion becomes normalized in
children’s cultural contexts, promoting reflection on important social issues.
