This study is the result of a literature review of journals in the field of Science Education, identifying research that addresses science teaching from an inclusive perspective and analyzing how the field has dealt with this issue. The aim is to understand how science teaching has dealt with special education from the perspective of inclusive education. To this end, we searched for studies focused on science teaching from an inclusive perspective, based on the CAPES Journal Portal, using the following inclusion criteria to establish the corpus: open access scientific articles, peer-reviewed, of national production, published in Portuguese, in the period from 2020 to 2024. The descriptors used were: “science teaching”, “inclusive education” and “special education”, combined with the Boolean operator “AND”. The findings of the study are discussed, seeking to identify the focus of the publications, their limits and advances and the gaps that could give rise to new research.
