THE PEDAGOGY OF PERFORMANCE: PRESENCE, HUMOUR AND LAUGHTER IN TEACHING

This paper discusses pedagogical practice as performance. It also articulates the concepts of aesthetic act, performance, body, presence, laughter and humor. Considering performance as a particular form of body use, it discusses the status of meaning in contemporary society. The notions of humor and laughter are used as a means of transgressing and a form of performed thinking.
