Published date: 08/08/2013
This study aims to analyze the influence of knowledge of experience in the training of teachers who work in the Course Hospitality at the Federal University of Maranhão from the immersion on the various theoretical determinants of this phenomenon, as well as listening to the subjects involved in the research. For analysis and discussion of the data on the knowledge and training of teachers we rely primarily with the contributions of theorists such as Paulo Freire (1996), Tardif (2002), Vazquez (1986) and Saviani (1996) Pimenta (2009) among others that allowed us to understand that the knowledge of the teachers have distinct origins, from various means and through the influence of many aspects. In the construction of this study we chose the qualitative approach using semi-structured interview as a tool for data collection. The interview enabled us to secure a favorable climate between researcher and researched, so that the subjects felt free to express themselves which also assured the researcher to understand the human dimension of the teacher, that is, to realize their values, their attitudes, their complaints, their relationship with their peers, and their theoretical beliefs. The subjects involved in the study were teachers of specific subjects and general education and students from the Course of Hospitality at UFMA from the eighth and ninth periods. We conclude that the teacher during the teaching profession is never formed alone; knowledge construction also occurs daily; pleasure of teaching profession was perceived as motivation in life teachers, teachers’ knowledge is constantly modified and improved, so the teacher is in constant training in their professional life.
