APRESENTAÇÃO DA METODOLOGIA DE PESQUISA CONVERGENTE ASSISTENCIAL APLICADA NA SIMULAÇÃO REALÍSTICA PARA O CUIDADO DE PESSOAS COM COVID-19

    Published date: 24/03/2023

The objective is to present the method constructed for the elaboration of a realistic simulation situation for the nursing care of people with Covid-19. This is an applied, exploratory, descriptive research, which used the steps of the Convergent Care Research and had as participants the students of the Nursing Course at Univali. Firstly, two practice scenarios were prepared for the application of the realistic simulation in accordance with the guidelines of the National League for Nursing, namely: 1) Reception and organization for the installation of the endotracheal tube; 2) aspiration of endotracheal tube secretion. Then, 30 undergraduates were selected and divided into groups of up to five components; raffled the scenarios between them; prepared the environment differently for each scenario; applied to realistic simulation that was recorded via Blackboard® environment; performed the monitoring and evaluation of the performance of the undergraduates using a checklist and, finally, the Debriefing was carried out. Considering what was proposed by the Convergent Care Research, the two simulation scenarios were considered adequate for the application of the realistic simulation, the Debriefing was positive.
