The study analyzed the presence of discussions about the health of the black population in the undergraduate course of Speech and Hearing Therapy at the largest state university in Bahia. This is a qualitative-descriptive study, made up of two stages: a documentary research and an interview with professors. The documentary research analyzed the Political Pedagogical Project of the Course. The interviews were analyzed using Content Analysis. As a result, there was no formal inclusion of the matter in the course. The topic is present in the classroom at times, but is not formally recorded in lesson plans, and is often prompted by students' political positioning. We also noticed the absence of institutional follow-up training aimed at achieving racial literacy among professors.
