Archiving Policy
Preserving scholarly knowledge in digital format is essential to ensuring permanent access to academic content, safeguarding research, and maintaining its availability for future generations. In an ever-evolving digital landscape, robust archiving strategies are critical to preventing data loss and upholding the integrity of scientific records.
This journal uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system, developed by Stanford University, to create a distributed archive among participating libraries. This approach ensures permanent preservation and restoration of published content. For more details, visit: http://lockss.org.
Additionally, the journal is part of the Cariniana Network by IBICT, a digital preservation service dedicated to Brazilian journals hosted on Open Journal Systems (OJS). This partnership reinforces our commitment to the long-term conservation of the nation’s scholarly output, protecting it against risks such as technological obsolescence and platform discontinuation.
