Journal Management

JOURNAL MANAGEMENT

The editorial process of the Revista Eletrônica Direito e Política is carefully structured, with systematic procedures that provide support to the Editor-in-Chief, Executive Editor, reviewers, and authors throughout all stages of scientific publishing.

In addition to the Editorial Board, the journal has a technical team composed of Master’s and PhD holders who serve as editorial assistants. They provide full support to the editorial workflow, ensuring the quality of publications, punctuality in dissemination, and compliance with the requirements of indexers and ethics committees, such as Web of Science, Scopus, SciELO, and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

The editorial assistants perform essential tasks, including verifying the originality of submitted manuscripts, assessing compliance with formatting standards and research lines, and maintaining communication with authors, reviewers, and editors in the course of editorial routines. They are also responsible for generating statistical reports related to the journal’s performance in the various indexing databases in which it is registered.

The management of the editorial workflow is carried out through the Open Journal Systems (OJS 3), developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), which ensures a transparent and impersonal peer-review process and allows for the export of articles in XML format to international indexers.
